Adolph Hitler Changed The World With One Vote

By Michele Travis

Adolph Hitler was born in 1889, his father died in 1912 and left him a very small amount of money. During WW1 Hitler was sent a draft, but claimed he never received it. After that he was arrested for being a draft dodger. After his arrest he spent sometime in jail, but then joined the military. His time in the military was good, so when WW1 ended Hitler became a corporal and worked for the Weimar or Democratic Government as a spy.

Hitler's orders were to watch and attend the German Worker's Party who mostly met in Munich. Hitler reported that they were not threatening, they just got together to "Drink beer". However, even though he was painfully shy, he started to speak in the German Worker's Party. He resigned from the German Army and put all of his energy into the German Worker's Party. They were not beer drinkers at all. They were all angry and charged up about Democracy, Socialism, and other things Germany was doing. Then the group decided to change the name of their group to the Nazi Party.

Now, there were several members of the Nazi Party who wanted to be the leader. Each one of them gave a speach to other members of the Nazi Party. At this point in time, Hitler had become rather grandious. His emotional delivery of his speech gained some support but not a lot. When the vote was counted, Hitler became the leader of the Nazi Political Party by one vote.

This one vote, as was written in another hub, is the one vote that changed the world forever.

A newspaper, reported that Hitler was the leader of the Nazi Political party. After this newspaper report, people became interested in him. So, he decided to make a speech. His first speech was attended by 2,000 people. That speech was alarming. Jews were bankrupting Germany! Germans were not safe! Hitler could help Germans, because he loved them. And so it started, the hatred of the Jewish people. Hitler decided the Nazi Party need a symbol, he chose the swastika.

On September 1, 1939 Germany invaded Poland and officially WW2 was declared. WW2 killed over millions of people. Men, women, and children. Some in the military, some in concentration camps. All of this happend and more because a man was elected as the leader of the Nazi Political Party by one vote. Just one. This is the we need to vote. We need many votes, not just one.

grandious

Hitler decided the Nazi Party need a symbol,

WW2 killed over millions of people. (Note that WWII is the more common abbreviation.)

Some in the military, some in concentration camps. (Add: even more as non-combatant civilians in Russia, England, and other areas of the prolonged struggle.)

Hi Michele Thanks for sharing your info.

I have a very soft spot for the Jews and i despise that dead, nasty man called Hitler the devil incarnated in human flesh, a man who was greedy for power, fame and popularity, A man who people claimed was mad to me it was more like demon possessed.

How on earth could one man think so cruel so hateful to humans like himself.

I read and follow up holocaust survivors stories on youtube and i gets me crying or very depressed. I keep searching for answers as to why? I get VERY EMOTIONAL when i hear about the Nazi and Hitler. Even the word Germany Pukes me!

All i can say men like adolf eichmann and herman gorring, adolf hitler, nuremberg and others have a special place in hell and is now awaiting the judgement of God.

Thanks for sharing your infor.

Have a bless night

Thank you, I feel the same. Even going to the place in Cleveland that shows the things that came from concentration camps. I cannot go there, I would cry before I even entered. Just thinking about the shoes children lost that their parents would never see again.

I can go on and on, but won't.

God bless you too.

Let this be a lesson for all those that feel they do not want to vote in the upcoming elections. We are in a crossroads not too dissimilar to what Michele just wrote about. This next election may very well determine the freedom of this country. Excellent hub Michele.

What can I add? simply a terrific and to the point article.

As you might be aware Besides their Christianity/Religion Reporter, I am also the Political writer/reporter for the Examiner.com and cover the Brownsville,TX area. The consensus of political opinion is ONE VOTE MATTERS and the question goes on WHAT IF, what IF Hitler had not been voted in.People all over the country are concerned in so many areas and parties and VOTES do matter. Surely none of us want to look back some day and say, "If only I would have voted".Great article. I love everything you write. I voted UP, useful, interesting and awesome.

Thank you. You know only about 58% of people vote. It is horrible. We need to vote. Our rights are being taken away slowly. Well, you already know how I feel

Thanks again for your comments.

Michele Travis Hub Author 3 months ago

You are very correct. That is why I am so concerned about voting and why people do not vote. I wish I could get thi out somehow and get people to vote. People need to vote. They just don't understand how valuble a vote is.

richfsr 3 months ago

One of your commenters wondered how such a man could be voted into power. Ponder this. During that time unemployment in Germany was staggering 30%. Banks had failed during the depression. Companies were going bankrupt. The economy had tanked. Somebody needed to be the savior. He distracted the masses by finding a scapegoat. Jews. He blamed the whole problem on them and convinced the German people they needed to be erradicated in order to fix Germany. If you notice some of the conditions in Germany then are very similar to our situation today. People are looking for a Savior. If someone stepped forward with the charrisma and charm he had,we could easily end up with the same type of leader. Some actually think Obama is the savior.

Michele Travis profile image

Michele Travis Hub Author 3 months ago

Things are getting bad. We don't need to repeat the past. We need to vote. Obama is not the savior. I know we are in bad times, so is the rest of the world right now. Sometimes I get a little crazy when I talk about ,voting But, it is up to us to vote.

Grerory 3 months ago

Young people should remember these things really did happen. In some places they say it did not happen, but it did happen. So if they can vote why do they do not vote? I do not understand why people in your country do not vote. Maybe they are lazy, but here they are lasy also. Just to lasy.

Hmm tell me about it i just don't know how Jews do it how they go back to Germany, Poland, Holand etc i know they want to show there respects but its just creepy i would have never Returned.

It breaks my heart just to even imagine it all the sceneries are still there for them to remember. Everything comes back so real and fresh into their minds. I listen to the survivors cases its sad but interesting to see how people could have survived such a disaster!!

Something that has always distressed me about Adolf Hitler. During WWI he distinguished himself in service to his country and was awarded the German Army's highest commendation. What happened to him before, during or after the war to twist his conscience so badly? It probably wasn't one thing but a confluence of events and experiences that ruined him.

We are all captains of our actions, of our decisions. He decided that the best way to resurrect a collapsed Germany was to blame the 1%ers or as he called them - the Jews.

Michele Travis profile image

Michele Travis Hub Author 3 months ago

You are correct. It is also a frightening thing. I don't know what happend to him, there is so much infomation, I could not reseach all of it, but voting, everybody voting is the thing that is so important. And I agree with what you wrote.

richfsr 3 months ago

@uncorrectedvision To answer your question, it is called power. After the war he strived to be a political force in Germany. To do so he became ruthless. In fact he was imprisoned for his violent opposition to the Kaiser. I believe the prison term probably changed him more. But as I said he became power hungry. As the old saying goes. "Absolute power corrupts absolutely".
